Catalonia Issues Mobile Alert for Potential Mediterranean Hurricane

Civil Protection will send an ES-Alert to mobile phones in coastal and pre-coastal regions of Catalonia, excluding Terres de l'Ebre, due to a possible Mediterranean hurricane that could bring up to 200 liters per square meter in six hours. The alert covers all Girona regions and Moianès (Barcelona). This is a precautionary measure for an extreme weather event, with uncertainty remaining on landfall and intensity.
