Costa Rica Probes Claimed Massive Data Breach of Citizens' Records

A threat actor claims to possess millions of records on Costa Ricans, including addresses, salaries, judicial records, vehicles, and phone numbers. The Micitt (Ministry of Science, Technology and Telecommunications) has launched an investigation. The breach, if confirmed, would be one of the largest in Costa Rica's history, exposing sensitive personal data and raising significant privacy and security concerns.
