Flemish Environment Minister Jo Brouns has rejected a permit for a dumping site at the BEGO clay pit in Schelle, citing concerns. The neighboring municipality of Niel, which had opposed the plan over traffic safety, welcomed the decision. The ruling is final unless appealed.
