Poland implements automated prescription controls to prevent excessive dosage issuance

The Polish Ministry of Health will introduce automated system blocks on September 13 for reimbursed prescriptions that fail to meet specific dosage and therapy duration requirements. This measure aims to eliminate 'death prescriptions'—erroneous or fraudulent documents containing dangerously high medication levels. The effectiveness of the automated filtering in preventing systemic abuse remains to be tested.
