Cuba grid collapses again: Nuevitas-Las Tunas line shot, east island blacked out

A power line between Nuevitas and Las Tunas was shot, causing a partial disconnection of Cuba's national electric system and leaving eastern Cuba without power. This is the ninth grid collapse this year, worsening an ongoing energy crisis. The deliberate attack on infrastructure signals potential sabotage or conflict-related disruption, though the full extent and cause remain under investigation.
