Cracks worsen on Scheldt towpath in Belgium; repair scheduled

The towpath along the Scheldt between Oudenaarde and Kerkhove (Avelgem) has developed worsening cracks, attributed by De Vlaamse Waterweg to persistent drought over the summer.
