Nepal rescue operations hampered by ongoing flood risks following glacier collapse

Rescue efforts in Nepal are struggling to locate thousands of missing persons five days after a glacier collapse caused severe flooding along the Chinese border. While 8,700 individuals have been rescued, worsening weather and rising water levels in the Bhote Koshi river basin continue to impede search and recovery operations.
