Brussels homeless count expected to exceed 10,000 amid funding uncertainty

Brussels is conducting its annual homeless count two weeks after the budget conclave, with regional and federal funding for reception facilities uncertain. The 2024 count recorded 9,777 homeless people, a 25% increase from 2022, including 1,678 children. The outcome may pressure policymakers to address the growing crisis.
