Chilean government rejects inclusion of Coquimbo reconstruction in megareform bill

Interior Minister Alvarado stated that the executive branch will not expand the scope of the current megareform legislation to include Coquimbo reconstruction efforts. While the government maintains its commitment to funding repairs and compensation, it has declared the legislative debate on the bill closed.
