Greek opposition leader urges fast aid for flooded Lasithi Plateau farms

Nikos Androulakis, leader of Greece's PASOK, inspected flood damage in the Lasithi Plateau and called on the government to cut bureaucracy and act quickly. The Agricultural Association reports 6,000 stremmata of potatoes (25,000 tons) and 3,000 stremmata of vegetables (12,000 tons) submerged. The event is a localized agricultural disaster with political implications, but no national market impact.
