Paleontological study estimates T. rex hatchling weight at 1.7 kilograms

An international team of paleontologists has determined that Tyrannosaurus rex hatchlings weighed approximately 1.7 kg at birth, comparable to a small cat. This finding provides new insight into the rapid growth trajectory required for the species to reach its massive adult size.
