Romania's PSD proposes delaying housing VAT increase to 21% until October 2026

The Social Democratic Party (PSD) has introduced an amendment to defer the scheduled VAT hike on housing purchases from 9% to 21%. The proposal aims to protect buyers from administrative delays at the National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration (ANCPI) that have prevented the timely completion of property contracts.
