Belgian researchers develop nasal spray targeting viral adhesion

Researchers from the Université de Namur and UCLouvain have developed a nasal spray utilizing the molecule 9-Ac-SAP to intercept respiratory viruses before they bind to human cells. The efficacy and clinical viability of this technology remain to be proven in human trials, but the mechanism represents a novel approach to prophylactic viral defense.
