Antwerp province implements total water extraction ban amid persistent drought

Antwerp Governor Cathy Berx has extended a ban on water extraction from non-navigable waterways and public ditches to the entire province due to ongoing drought conditions. The restriction will remain in effect indefinitely until regional rainfall levels recover sufficiently to mitigate water scarcity risks.
