Astronomers identify four previously undetected white dwarf stars within 65 light-years of Earth

Researchers have identified four white dwarf stars orbiting red dwarfs in binary systems within 65 light-years of the Solar System. These remnants of low-mass stars were previously undetected due to their proximity to brighter stellar companions, providing new data for local stellar population mapping.
