Egyptian Physicist Uses Magnetic Nanoparticles to Disrupt Liver Cancer Cells

Egyptian physicist Ahmed El-Gendy's team demonstrated that iron carbide nanoparticles, guided by an alternating magnetic field, can mechanically disrupt liver cancer cells without heat. This is a novel approach distinct from magnetic hyperthermia, but it remains at preclinical stage with no human trials. The finding could open new avenues for targeted cancer therapy if validated.
