Croatia Offers JANAF Pipeline Route to Hungary, Slovakia for Oil and Gas Supply

Croatia has proposed using the JANAF pipeline as an alternative route to supply oil and gas to Hungary and Slovakia, and is ready to conduct new testing to verify long-term reliability. This follows disruptions to Russian supply via the Druzhba pipeline, making diversification of Central European energy routes a strategic priority. The move could reduce regional dependence on Russian energy and shift transit leverage toward Croatia.
