Bahamas opposition leader arrested after protesters dismantle court-ordered fence

Coalition of Independents leader Lincoln Bain was arrested on Cabbage Beach after he and protesters tore down a fence that the government had ordered the Four Seasons Ocean Club Residences developers to remove. The arrest escalates a local land-access dispute into a political confrontation, with Bain framing the action as civil disobedience against government inaction. The incident is developing and may signal broader unrest over beach access rights.
