Twin tornadoes hit Marsala, Sicily; dozens injured, buildings damaged

Two tornadoes struck the coastal town of Marsala in western Sicily on Friday morning, injuring dozens, damaging a school and other buildings, and overturning cars. The tornadoes formed as waterspouts over the Mediterranean before moving ashore, an unusual but not unprecedented event for the region. The full extent of injuries and structural damage is still being assessed.
