US withdraws bombers from RAF Fairford amid terror probe

US bombers have departed RAF Fairford in southwest England, a base previously used for strikes on Iran. The withdrawal follows the arrest of five men near the base on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack, though US Secretary of State Marco Rubio did not directly link the two events. The move may signal a shift in US force posture in Europe or a precautionary response to the security threat.
