Honduran Armed Forces Eradicate 16,500 Coca Bushes in Colón

Honduran military forces located and presumably eradicated 16,500 coca bushes in a mountainous area of Colón department, along with a makeshift drug-processing structure. This continues the established pattern of coca eradication in Honduras, but the scale suggests a significant local cultivation operation. The find underscores the expanding coca cultivation in Central America, which has implications for regional drug trafficking and security.
