Hegseth to livestream Hasan execution; Trump pauses Iran strikes until midterms

Defense Secretary Hegseth announced the firing-squad execution of Nidal Hasan will be livestreamed next month, a first for a military execution and a departure from standard practice. Concurrently, President Trump stated the US will not attack Iran before the midterms, signaling a temporary de-escalation. The execution livestream is unprecedented and may face legal challenges, while the Iran pause is a stated policy shift with uncertain duration.
