Colombia police commander removed after 41 detainees escape in Santa Marta

Colombia's police director, General De la Espriella, will remove Colonel Jeyson Haird López Puerto as commander of the Metropolitan Police of Santa Marta following the escape of 41 detainees. The escape occurred under his command, which he held for just over a month. This is a domestic law-enforcement accountability matter with no direct market or geopolitical implications.
