Belgian Medical Unions Challenge Health Reforms in Constitutional Court

Two Belgian medical unions, UBPS and Absym, have filed annulment actions with the Constitutional Court against framework healthcare laws proposed by Health Minister Frank Vandenbroucke. The laws, passed in May and June but not yet in effect, face coordinated legal opposition from the medical community. This legal challenge could delay or alter the implementation of significant healthcare reforms in Belgium.
