University of Hong Kong launches pharmacist-led osteoporosis screening program

The University of Hong Kong is initiating a community-based screening program using a proprietary algorithm to identify high-risk osteoporosis patients at pharmacies. The initiative aims to facilitate early referral to family doctors to prevent bone fractures, marking the first program of its kind in the city.
