Wallonia initiates climate adaptation strategy following major Hautes Fagnes wildfire

The Walloon government has launched a restoration committee and a new climate adaptation strategy after a wildfire destroyed 3,300 hectares in the Hautes Fagnes. Authorities have referred crisis management protocols to the Comité de concertation to address systemic failures in responding to extreme heat and fire events.
