Patriots for Europe Summit Presses EU Budget, Sovereignty Agenda

Patriots for Europe leaders met in Brussels on 14 October, ahead of the EU Council, to push for lower EU spending, stronger border controls, and cheaper energy, signaling a coordinated conservative bloc effort to influence the EU budget and rule-of-law debates. The summit, hosted by Tom Van Grieken, underscores growing nationalist coordination within the European Parliament, though its direct impact on Council decisions remains uncertain.
