Yemen army claims 1,500 Houthi casualties; seizes key Taiz crossing

Yemeni government forces report over 1,500 Houthi casualties in 24 hours and have closed a key crossing between Houthi-held al-Houban and government-held Taiz city. The claim is unverified and likely inflated, but the territorial gain in Taiz is a notable shift in the long-stalled front. This could signal a renewed government offensive, though Houthi resilience and the lack of independent confirmation temper the significance.
