Hong Kong Customs intercepts endangered wildlife smuggling from US

Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department seized 17 live endangered turtles and additional parrots in two separate smuggling incidents at Hong Kong International Airport. One woman was arrested following the discovery of animals concealed in packages arriving from the United States. The investigation into the smuggling network's scope and origin remains ongoing.
