Volunteers continue search for 2010 murder victim in Balen

Volunteer search teams are continuing efforts to locate the remains of Heidi De Schepper, who was murdered 16 years ago, despite the formal conclusion of the official judicial investigation. The public prosecutor has requested that two suspects be referred to the assize court for trial. The search remains a private initiative as the state investigation has officially closed.
