Honda and Taisei to Test Dynamic Wireless EV Charging on Japanese Highways by 2027

Honda and construction firm Taisei plan to demonstrate in-motion wireless charging for electric vehicles on Japanese highways in fiscal 2027 or later. The technology could enable smaller, cheaper EV batteries and boost adoption, but viability and cost remain unproven. This is an early-stage pilot, not a commercial deployment.
