IDF shifts to forward-defense posture in southern Lebanon ahead of winter

The Israeli military is rotating forces and preparing winter positions in southern Lebanon, signaling a longer-term presence and a shift to a deeper forward-defense posture. Hezbollah continues to justify resistance operations due to the Israeli presence, indicating sustained low-level conflict. The move suggests Israel expects prolonged operations rather than a near-term withdrawal.
