Deputy head of Briceni Police Inspectorate detained in influence peddling probe

Vasile Cociurca, deputy head of the Briceni Police Inspectorate in Moldova, has been detained by the National Anti-Corruption Center (NAC) on charges of influence peddling. The investigation follows previous scrutiny of his assets by the National Integrity Authority, which had cleared him of declaration violations earlier in 2025.
