Fugitive who posed as dead twin for 19 years arrested in China after ex-lover tip

A Chinese fugitive, surnamed Chen, who evaded capture for 19 years by assuming his deceased twin brother's identity, was arrested in Zhejiang after the brother's ex-girlfriend recognized him. The arrest resolves a cold case from a 2002 robbery, highlighting the role of personal relationships in long-term fugitive apprehension. The case underscores the persistence of law enforcement and the limits of identity fraud over extended periods.
