Belgian diplomat decries Israeli settler attack on consular delegation in West Bank

Belgium's consul general in Jerusalem, Anick Van Calster, condemned an attack by masked Israeli settlers on a diplomatic delegation during an olive harvest visit in the West Bank, which included a French mayor and resulted in a shattered vehicle window. The incident marks a new escalation in attacks on foreign diplomats, raising concerns about the safety of consular staff and the broader diplomatic fallout. The claim is based on the consul general's statement, with details of the assault still emerging.
