Moscow reports 87 drones downed in single day, largest attack on capital

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that 87 drones were destroyed en route to the capital since the start of Friday, marking a significant escalation in aerial attacks on Moscow. The claim is unverified and likely part of an ongoing Ukrainian drone campaign, but the scale suggests a notable intensification. This development underscores the expanding reach of the conflict into Russian rear areas, with potential implications for air defense resource allocation and domestic morale.
