Manipur clashes kill one, torched homes in Thoubal; curfew imposed

Communal clashes in Manipur's Thoubal district on October 18 killed one and injured several, with houses and vehicles set ablaze in Khangabok and Sangaiyumpham. Authorities imposed prohibitory orders and deployed additional security forces. This continues the pattern of ethnic violence in Manipur since 2023, with the incident indicating sustained inter-community tensions.
