Starshield outage disrupts Ukrainian drone ops, troops exposed

Ukraine reports an unexplained throttling of Starshield, the military satellite internet service, which caused drones to lose connectivity and left troops vulnerable to Russian attacks. The cause remains unknown, and Kyiv is investigating whether the disruption was technical, operational, or deliberate. This marks a significant dependence risk for Ukraine's battlefield communications and raises questions about the reliability of commercial satellite services in conflict zones.
