Chile's President Kast Appoints Air General Romanini as New FACh Commander

Chilean President José Antonio Kast has appointed Air General Leonardo Romanini Gutiérrez as the new commander-in-chief of the Chilean Air Force (FACh), succeeding the previous chief. Romanini previously led the General Staff under former President Boric, indicating continuity in military leadership. The appointment is a routine personnel change but signals the new administration's trust in a senior officer with cross-administration experience.
