US denies Iran claim it destroyed US sea drone in Strait of Hormuz

Iran claimed it destroyed a US unmanned surface vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, but CENTCOM says all US USVs in the Middle East are accounted for. The denial suggests either a failed Iranian operation or a false claim, but the incident underscores ongoing friction in a critical maritime chokepoint. If confirmed, it would mark a direct military confrontation; currently, the claim is unverified and disputed.
