Russia claims 15,000 Ukrainian air targets downed in September, 500 per day

Russian Chief of General Staff Gerasimov reported to Putin that air defense forces destroyed over 15,000 Ukrainian air targets in September, averaging 500 per day, up from 120 per day in January. The claim is unverified and likely inflated for domestic consumption, but signals sustained high-intensity drone and missile attacks on Russian territory.
