Russia claims downing of 1,297 Ukrainian drones in 24 hours

The Russian Ministry of Defense reports its forces shot down 1,297 Ukrainian drones in a single day, a figure that, if accurate, would mark a significant escalation in drone warfare intensity. The claim is unverified and likely inflated for propaganda purposes, but it signals sustained high-tempo Ukrainian drone operations against Russian targets. This development underscores the ongoing attritional nature of the conflict and the central role of drones.
