Israeli naval and artillery strikes reported in southern Lebanon

Israel has intensified airstrikes and artillery fire in South Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah infrastructure and resulting in civilian displacement. Concurrently, human rights groups allege potential war crimes regarding an Israeli strike that killed a Lebanese journalist, increasing international pressure. Diplomatic negotiations in Rome continue, with US intervention reportedly preventing broader Israeli escalation, though the effectiveness of de-escalation efforts remains uncertain.
