India arrests 'Cockroach' movement leaders ahead of electoral register protests

Indian police arrested leaders of the youth-led 'Cockroach' movement ahead of planned protests against revisions to the electoral register, which the opposition claims disproportionately removed over 130 million voters, allegedly favoring the ruling BJP. The arrests signal escalating political tension and potential suppression of dissent, with implications for electoral integrity and upcoming elections.
